A joint initiative with the Directorate of Mushroom Research, Solan
MushroomBazaar is run jointly by MushroomWale and ICAR-Directorate of Mushroom Research, Solan, India's national institute for mushroom research. The Directorate has given the initiative its full support and permitted the use of its name; its work on strains, spawn, composting and post-harvest handling is what most mushroom farming in this country is built on.
The aim we share is plain: carry the research out to the grower, and carry the grower to a fair market.
A partnership, not a certification. MushroomBazaar stays free for everyone, and no listing, price or member on it is approved by the Directorate.
- Grown on researchSpecies, spawn and practice on this site follow the Directorate's published guidance.
- Knowledge to the farmTraining, strains and post-harvest know-how reaching growers who never had access to them.
- Named with permissionBoth names appear here with consent. No member may claim the Directorate endorses their farm or their produce.
Questions people ask
What is MushroomBazaar?
A free marketplace and daily mandi price board for India's mushroom trade. Growers list stock, buyers post what they need, and the two sides talk directly. It is run by MushroomWale together with ICAR-Directorate of Mushroom Research, Solan, as a public service for the mushroom farming community.
Is MushroomBazaar free?
Yes, entirely. There is no commission, no listing fee and no paid ranking. MushroomBazaar never holds money: buyer and seller agree the price and settle between themselves. MushroomWale pays the running costs.
Can anyone register?
Anyone over 18 who grows, buys, trades or processes mushrooms in India. Registration takes about a minute and needs a working email address, which must be confirmed before anything posted becomes public. Phone numbers, names and districts are checked against real ones.
Does MushroomBazaar guarantee a trade?
No. MushroomBazaar introduces buyers and sellers and nothing more. It holds no money, inspects no goods, and guarantees no payment, quality or delivery. Verification labels say exactly what was checked and when, and never imply more than that. Agree your terms in writing and check who you are dealing with.
How do I sell mushrooms on it?
Post what you have: the mushroom, how much, where it is and what you want for it. It goes live once you confirm your email, and buyers write to you through the site. Keep confirming it while the stock is still available, because a listing that has not been confirmed recently is shown as past rather than current.
Rooted in mushrooms. Open to everyone who trades them.
MushroomWale builds climate-controlled mushroom farms across India and runs MushroomBazaar jointly with ICAR-DMR, Solan. The marketplace itself stays separate and open: any grower or buyer can join, whoever built their farm, and no listing is ranked for buying a MushroomWale project.
LearnMushroomFarming.in
Free · with ICAR-DMR, SolanFree mushroom farming education for India in English and Hindi: a Mushroom University of 6 schools, 13 courses and 86 sourced lessons, a crop-problem check and a temperature tool. A joint educational initiative by MushroomWale and ICAR-DMR, Solan.

BuildMushroomWale
Paid work · separate from this marketplaceTurnkey mushroom farm setup in India: climate-controlled grow rooms, compost units, farm engineering, bankable project reports and training, delivered across 25+ cities.
The same people run all three. Nothing you buy on one changes what you see on another: no listing here is ranked for being a MushroomWale customer, and the Directorate is a partner in the initiative, not a certifier of any farm, guide or price.
